Wedding Planning Tips For The Newly Engaged Couple

October 14, 2021

Hello, world! It’s our very first blog post and we’re stoked! This is where we’ll share everything from wedding planning tips to featured wedding galleries and vendor highlights, so follow along!

We asked our past couples what they would want current engaged couples to know about their upcoming wedding day and here’s what they said! Wedding days can bring on so much emotion, but don’t forget, you’re marrying your favorite person!

  1. “It goes by FAST!” We know you waited months (heck, even YEARS!) to say “I do. From the time you start getting ready to the time the last song plays – everything goes by in a blur! Enjoy the quiet moments, the “oh sh*t” moments, and all the moments in between because you won’t have this day again.
  2. “Carve out time for just you and your partner.” This means no wedding party, no vendors, no one else around. This can be pre-ceremony or post-ceremony. We had one couple request 10 minutes of alone time in a quiet space after they said “I do”. They enjoyed BBQ ribs and had a celebratory beer with just the two of them and we absolutely LOVED that idea!!
  3. “Trust that your vendors have GOT THIS!” You can’t do it all on your own even if you’re the most organized person on the planet. That’s why it’s so important to choose vendors you 110% trust will execute one of the most important days of your lives. Chances are, this is your first time planning a large scale event – the timelines, the layouts, multiple vendors, family dynamics, alcohol calculators, rental orders! Between your wedding planner, caterer, photographer, videographer, venue, DJ. florist, etc., they’ve done hundreds if not thousands of weddings between them! Trust and open communication are key!

Bottom line – enjoy every single minute of your wedding day! When else will you ever have the same group of people in the same space ever again? Use these wedding planning tips as a guide when starting the wedding planning process!
